Job Specifics
Duties Description The Auditor 2 is responsible for collecting, reviewing, and validating vendor-reported sales and fee remittances for OGS centralized contracts. The auditor supports financial tracking, communicates with vendors to resolve discrepancies, and assists with periodic audits to ensure compliance.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Assist with contract fee collection, reporting, and reconciliation processes in accordance with contract provisions.
• Follow documented policies and procedures for fee invoicing, payment tracking, audit sampling, and non-compliance resolution.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding fee remittance schedules, reporting forms, and documentation requirements.
• Supervise Auditor 1 staff responsible for data analysis, vendor outreach, and audit reviews.
• Assist Team leader coordinating with Finance, Legal, and Operations to ensure alignment on revenue handling and corrective actions.
• Review discrepancies or disputes regarding reported sales and remittances.
• Assist with quarterly and annual reports on fee collections, vendor compliance rates, and fiscal performance metrics.
• Monitor trends and recommend updates to contract language or enforcement strategies as needed.
Minimum Qualifications Current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service in a position allocated to a Grade 21 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
