Job Specifics

Duties Description • Provide day-to-day maintenance and support for BSC Human Resources platforms (HCM and LATS-NY).
• Conduct UAT activities related to LATS-NY and HCM system changes and enhancements, including writing and executing test scripts, performing end-to-end testing, and reviewing documented issues.
• Troubleshoot reported HR system defects, create tickets to address them, and escalate, as necessary.
• Coordinate, set up, request, and track HR systems access for assigned BSC HR systems.
• Update and maintain BSC-owned HCM system tables and independently update complex tables as required.
• Work with the LATS-NY vendor to resolve system issues and facilitate system changes, including writing change request specifications, to meet current and future agency business needs.
• Conduct requirements gathering activities for report/query creation and system enhancements.
• Assist with system-related transition activities for onboarding new BSC customer agencies.
• Identify and implement system improvements related to standardization, best practices, and LEAN principles.
• Perform tasks associated with data collection and analysis, including collecting, tabulating, and analyzing data.
• Develop, maintain, and update database programs.
• Create tables and charts, and draft reports to document analyses and procedures.
• Research laws, rules, and regulations in support of Human Resources.
• Participate in discussions with customers to understand current Human Resources practices and system functionality, identifying potential gaps in both business practices and system needs.
• Create HR system Job Aids as needed.
• Complete special assignments as needed.

Minimum Qualifications Current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service in a position allocated to a Grade 11 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1of the Civil Service Law.
